Wight Marque travels to the New Forest

Wight Marque, the sign of truly local food and drink from the Isle of Wight, will be promoted at this year's New Forest Show that opened today (29th July).

David Brooks from Taste of the Wight, which supports the marketing for the Wight Marque with the Royal Isle of Wight Agricultural Society has joined the New Forest Marque exhibition. The New Forest Marque was the model for developing the Wight Marque and was promoted last month at the Isle of Wight County Show at the invitation of the Royal IW Agricultural Society.

Wight Marque officially launched at RIWAS County Show

The new Wight Marque was launched on stage in the Taste of the Wight Food & Drink Pavilion at the annual RIWAS County Show, by Lord De Mauley Under Secretary of State of the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Lord De Mauley was joined by the Island's Lord Lieutenant Major-General Martin White, High Sheriff Claire Locke, Danny Fisher Chairman of the Royal Isle of Wight Agricultural Society and Graham Biss who has overseen the introduction on the scheme.
