Bunbury Bees
34 New Street
Isle of Wight
Bunbury Bees is run by Chris Van Wyk and Kate Bucci, and we believe in compassionate beekeeping and low-impact honey farming techniques. We use traditional methods alongside modern equipment to keep our bees happy, healthy and productive. We produce local honey with distinct flavour - our apiaries are located across the Isle of Wight and we currently have local honey available from Newport, Northwood, Ryde and St Helens. Anecdotal evidence suggests that consuming local honey can assist with hay fever and seasonal allergies. The honey from each location has distinctly different flavours reflecting the forage available nearby. Our raw honey is only filtered to remove the largest debris, leaving behind small particles of beeswax and pollen. We don’t heat the honey or treat it in any other way - it’s just as it comes from the hive. We also run Experience Days - come and meet our bees! Purchase a gift voucher for yourself or a loved one to come and join us for 2-3 hours of beekeeping and hive inspections. All equipment is provided and there is so much to show you. Dates for these experience days will be released soon for the 2017 season. They will be held on Saturdays between April - August as this is the beekeeping season. Right now the bees are tucked up in their hives, but we will send you a gift voucher that can be redeemed later in the year. Bunbury Bees
